Our work with the World Bank Group culminated in the development and launch of an innovative access-to-funding application, firmly anchored in the SME credit rating concept. This app, available on both the Apple Store and Google Play Store, was designed as a comprehensive platform to empower SMEs and bridge the gap between their financial needs and accessible funding opportunities. It featured a network of SME credit rating agencies that businesses could connect with directly, enabling them to understand and leverage their ratings for funding purposes. A standout feature of the app was the "Funding Finder," which guided SMEs through available funding opportunities, tailored to their profiles and financial positions. Beyond facilitating access to finance, the app served as a valuable knowledge hub, offering insights into the SME credit rating process, best practices, and how ratings could open up both traditional and alternative funding channels. The app played a pivotal role in the data collection phase of a larger IFC project, enabling detailed insights into the SME ecosystem and fostering collaboration between stakeholders. Its dual purpose—serving as both an operational tool for SMEs and a strategic asset for the World Bank Group—underscored its importance in promoting financial inclusion. This achievement highlights our commitment to leveraging technology to enhance SME development and underscores the innovative solutions we bring to the SME finance landscape.
