A Business Grading System In South Africa- dtic Initiative
CRA Global Development is actively partnering with the Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition (dtic) in South Africa to develop a comprehensive public sector business grading system. This initiative builds upon our successful experience in Nigeria and aims to create a tailored grading framework that encompasses businesses of all sizes, not just SMEs. The system is being designed to improve access to funding, enhance business performance, and foster better alignment with South Africa’s economic priorities.
As part of this groundbreaking project, we have convened two national roundtables in collaboration with the dtic, engaging key stakeholders from major financial institutions, regulatory authorities, and industry leaders across South Africa. These roundtables served as a platform for constructive dialogue, gathering critical insights and fostering consensus among stakeholders to drive the project forward. By involving major banks and other influential players, the initiative seeks to ensure the grading system is well-integrated into the broader financial and economic ecosystem.
The grading system under development will evaluate businesses across multiple dimensions, including financial health, operational efficiency, market positioning, and compliance with industry regulations. The initiative’s broad focus on businesses of all sizes underscores its transformative potential to create a more inclusive and equitable business environment in South Africa. CRA Global Development is proud to support the dtic in this ambitious endeavor, leveraging our expertise to deliver a solution that has the potential to unlock significant economic opportunities and drive sustainable growth.
